Some specifics About An All on 4/6

Three trips are usually required to complete treatment for an All On 4/6:Mexico dental implants

The first appointment is primarily surgical.  The treatment involves the planning phase with x-rays, consultation, and impressions. Extractions and implant placement will take place during this session. Temporary dentures will be fitted at the completion of this appointment. It is best to plan on staying local for at least 5 days and preferably 7-10 days..

Your next trip will take place between 4-6 months later for the second restoration session This is so the bone and implants fuse together in a process called osseointegration which provides a stable base for your abutments and final restoration. The abutments are screwed into the implants and the final restoration/prosthesis will be fitted on this trip. You should plan on staying local for 10-12 days.

Your final trip will take place about 3 months later. This is when final adjustments will be made to your final implant supported restoration.

The length of time to complete an AO4/6 procedure depends upon

  • whether you require a teeth extractions and bone grafts
  • the strength and density of the bone in your jaw
  • the time required for your bone to fuse with the implant

Most implant patients make a return trip after a few months and sometimes once annually. As an alternative, you may resume regular maintenance care with your general dentist. Regular maintenance care is essential.
